Since this is our first assignment, I wanted to take this opportunity to say a little bit about myself.
My name is Rick, and I returned to De Anza after having graduated from here in 1992.
This summer session marks my 5th, and likely last quarter since returning.
The classes I have taken recently have included Perl, javascript, Photoshop, advanced Dreamweaver, and graphic design for the web (ARTS 65 -- to those interested, this would make for an excellent follow-up to this course).
Upon examining my transcripts I noticed I was dangerously close to qualifying for a "Certificate in Web Development", so I decided to take Macromedia Flash, along with this CIS 89a class to finish that out.
As far as education goes, I have an Associate's degree from De Anza, a Bachelor's degree in psychology from San Jose State, and a Master's degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics, also from SJSU.
As everyone knows, the job situation right now is pretty tight, so at the present time I am making do by working at the campus bookstore in the computer department.
